Outside Lands is a three day music, food and drink festival held each August in the western part of Golden Gate Park. The 2027 festival is August 6 to 8. SFMTA expected around 75,000 people each day in 2026, so getting in and out takes some planning.

Tickets
Outside Lands is ticketed, with single day and three day passes. Buy only through sfoutsidelands.com to avoid fake tickets. The lineup is usually announced in spring.
Getting there on Muni
In 2026 SFMTA ran extra N Judah trains and extra 5R Fulton Rapid buses to the park, plus a 5X Fulton Express from Fulton and 30th Avenue back to Civic Center BART after the music ended. Festival wristbands included all day Muni fare on the day of the wristband, cable cars excepted. The 7, 28, 29 and 44 also serve the park, and the 38 Geary runs four blocks north of the Fulton and 30th entrance. Check SFMTA’s Outside Lands page each year for current details.
Shuttle, rideshare and bikes
The festival sells a round trip shuttle pass from Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. For rideshare, the 2026 pickup zones were on Irving Street between 25th and 26th avenues on the south side and on Balboa Street near 30th Avenue on the north side. Late night pickups were banned along Fulton and Lincoln near the park. Free bike parking was offered on the east and south sides of the festival, and Lyft Bikes had valet stations near the north and south gates.
Driving and parking
Roads in the west side of the park close to cars for the weekend, and nearby residential streets fill up fast. Leave the car at home if you can.
What to bring
Dress for fog. Golden Gate Park in August is often cool and gray, especially in the evening, so bring a warm layer even if downtown is sunny.
