Outside Lands, August 6 to 8
Outside Lands is San Francisco’s biggest music festival, held over three days in the western part of Golden Gate Park. The 2027 dates are August 6 to 8. Tickets are required and usually sell well before the weekend. Our Outside Lands guide covers getting there and what to bring.
Nihonmachi Street Fair, August 7 and 8
The Nihonmachi Street Fair celebrates Japanese American and Asian American communities with food, music, crafts and performances on the streets of Japantown. The 2027 fair is on August 7 and 8.
Stern Grove’s last concerts
The free Stern Grove Festival usually wraps up its Sunday concerts in mid August. The 2026 season ended on August 16. Free tickets come through the festival’s lottery.
